Ruth was a daughter of William & Emma (Zurbrigg) Klein and was born May 5, 1924 on the family farm in Wallace Twp. In 1947 she married Victor and they farmed together for almost 31 years. Ruth enjoyed rural living and farm life. Always a hard worker, Ruth was never happier than when she was at the farm, especially if she was also surrounded by the family that she was so proud of. She was committed to her faith and was a lifelong member of Zion Church. She enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. Nothing brought out her competitive spirit more than board games did. Her quiet, constant presence will be greatly missed by us all.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Listowel Salvation Army Citadel on Friday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. The service will be live-streamed, and the link available on the funeral home website. Interment in Zion United Cemetery, Wallace Twp.
Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Zion United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Hayward and the 1st Floor nursing staff for their compassionate care.
