Rita Margaret (Hartney) Dodkin of Listowel, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late Len Dodkin. Loving mother of Gary & Connie Dodkin of Listowel, Brenda & David McMillan of Newcastle, Ted & Susan Dodkin of Kincardine, Tom & Donna Dodkin of Moose Jaw, Sask., Joanne & Bob Boyne of Lucknow, Rita & Rick Johnson of New Liskeard, and Robert & Karen Dodkin of Canaan, N.S. Grandmother of fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Jackie Hartney of London. Predeceased by her siblings Tom (Marie) Hartney, Rosemarie (Marcel) Lassaline, Pat Hartney, Patsy (Steve) Pasek, and Marilyn Meadows.
Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. with prayers at 12:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
