Patricia Lee (Waghorne) Yaschuk passed away unexpectedly at her home in Listowel, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in her 88th year.
Loving wife of the late Alex Yaschuk. Mother of Wendy & Dave Courtney of Waterloo, Lori & Mike Harrison of Fergus, and Melanie Scott & Corrie Blancher of London.
Grandmother of Joey, Jenny, Jessica, Jillian, Scott, Tina, Nick, Scott, Brayden, Sydney, Deanna, Vanessa, and Ryan, and great-grandmother of Destiny, Isaac, J.J., Addilyn, Everett, Brynlee, Colson, Sierra, A.J., and Allen.
Sister of Joan Simmons of Brantford.
Predeceased by her parents Doug & Leila Waghorne, brother-in-law Ken Simmons, parents-in-law Nicholas & Anne Yaschuk, and Alex’s siblings John & Gail Yaschuk, Mary & Paul Matwyko, and George & Florence Yaschuk.
Pat was born and raised in Brantford. She married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Alex Yaschuk, on June 17, 1961. They moved to Listowel where they raised their three children. Pat worked at Turbitt’s Pharmacy and as a secretary at Listowel District Secondary School for many years. Pat loved and was actively involved in her church, and loved to travel, but most of all she loved her family.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Sunday, February 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow at Listowel Legion.
Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
