Patricia Anne (Rundle) Demmerling of Listowel passed away at Henley Place in London, on Friday August 11th, 2023, in her 90th year.
Loving wife of the late Earl Demmerling (2010), and devoted mother to Barbara and Maurice Wilson, of Kincardine, Terry and Joseph Lamantia, of Calgary, Dorothy Winchester, of London, Sandi and Bob Fenlon of Delaware and Ted Demmerling, of London.
Loved by her grandchildren Avery, Amy, Nicole, Ashley, Erin, Colin, Wesley and Hannah. Henry, James, Edie, Odessa and Oliver completed her life as their precious GiGi.
Sister of Bob Rundle and Velma and sisters-in-law Dorothy Rundle and Kay Rundle. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by husband Earl, parents John Philip and Ruthadelle Rundle, brothers John, Paddy and William Rundle and sister-in-law Ardie Rundle.
Mom had a strong faith. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Listowel for more than 60 years. This is where she gave so much of her time setting the alter for Communion, working at bazaars making sandwiches or pouring tea. Seldom did the ACW (Anglich Church Women) organize a rummage sale without her helping hands.
As well as her church life Mom was in Bridge Clubs in Listowel for most of her life. Most of the ladies in the Bridge Club became her very good friends.
Famous in Listowel to her friends and neighbours for her amazing light and fluffy hot cross buns at Easter and her delicious carmel corn at Halloween.
We will remember Mom, Nannie and GiGi when we see a spectacular sunset over Lake Huron and when we hear a pipe band.
A funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Wallace Ave. N. Listowel) on Tuesday August 15th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. A reception followed the church service at the Listowel Golf Course.
