Nancy G. Martin of Fordwich peacefully went to be with her Lord, surrounded by family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in her 96th year.
Daughter of the late Josiah & Lavina (Gingrich) Martin. Beloved wife of the late Aaron M.D. Martin (2010). Loving mother of Salema & Daniel Horst of Fordwich, Elmer & Kaye Martin of Milton Freewater, Oregon, Anna & Raymond Weber of Aylmer, Eli & Elizabeth Martin of Gowanstown, John & Janet Martin of Thamesville, Erma Martin of Thunder Bay, Alma & Robert Horst of Thamesville, and Nancy Biehn of Fordwich. Also remembered by son-in-law Merle & Helen Bauman of Aylmer. Sadly missed by 66 grandchildren and 217 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Louida Sauder.
Predeceased by her daughters Mary Bauman, and Betty in infancy, sons-in-law Leland Biehn (2025) and Gary Martin (2025), grandson Dennis, great-granddaughter Angela, and siblings Selinda Gingrich, Sydney G. Martin, John G. Martin, Eli G. Martin, and Mary Weber.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital as well as the staff of Care Partners for their kindness, care and compassion.
Visitation was held at Brookside Mennonite Fellowship, Carthage on Saturday, October 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, October 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service was held at Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship, Dorking on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment was in Cedarvale Mennonite Cemetery, Harriston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Outreach Missions sponsored by Cedarvale Mennonite Church would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
