Mary Lou (Schmidt) Cox, of Walkerton, passed away at Brucelea Haven on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was 93. Beloved wife of the late Bill Cox, father of Ron (Rhonda) Cox of Walkerton and Cathy (Dan) Kelly of Hanover. Mary Lou was the proud Nana of Sarah (Tyler) Buckland, Veronica (Jonathan) Hurn of Quebec, Courtney Kelly (Brent) Pysklywyc of Alberta and Lauren (Jeff) Smith of British Columbia and Great Nana of Eloise Kelly, Eliana Hurn and Miles Smith. Mary Lou will be remembered by her brother Bob (Win) Schmidt, sister Martha Monk, and in-laws Les Binkley, Hannah Schmidt, and Kathleen Horan.
Mary Lou is predeceased by her husband Bill, granddaughter Kirsten, siblings Irene (Herb) Bohnert, Rita (Wally) Scott, John (Dolores) Schmidt, Elaine (Bruce) King, Eleanor Binkley, Eddie Schmidt, in-laws Jack (June) Cox, Gerry (Joyce) Cox, Jerome Horan, Rita (Frank) Van der Voort, and her parents Ed and Edna Schmidt.
A private Celebration of Life with immediate family will be held in August.
