Mary Jane Lehman of Goderich, formerly Walkerton, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Alexandria Marine & General Hospital, Goderich, in her 67th year, following a brief battle with an aggressive cancer.
Beloved wife of Vince and cherished mother of Megan (Matt) of New Germany and Brooke (Brendon) of Tiverton. Mary Jane will be dearly missed by her siblings Carolyn (Dave) Biesenthal of Walkerton, Richard (Paula) Weiler of Formosa, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Lawrence “Sparky” and Elizabeth (nee Landick) Weiler.
Mary Jane had a strong love for sunshine, the beach, warm weather and tropical vacations – it is only fitting that she passed on the Summer Solstice, longest day of the year. She was excellent at trivia and crossword puzzles and loved all types of music, especially from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. While listening to her favourite music in her final hours with Vince, she briefly opened her eyes and asked him “Wanna dance?”
Friends and relatives were invited for a memorial visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Private family interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
