Mary Bitton of Listowel passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 91 years of age, content that she had been loved and cherished by her family and friends.
She has joined the love of her life, C. M. ‘Bud’ Bitton who died in 2009.
Predeceased also by her parents Cecil & Hazel (Raynard) Mullin, brothers Gordon Mullin, and Bill Mullin, and by her grandson Paul Coffell.
Lovingly remembered by her children Stephen & Anna Bitton of Listowel, Brenda & Dave Coffell of Sudbury, Valorie & Ray Nolan of Whitby, and Jeff & Robin Bitton of Stirling.
She was proud of the accomplishments of her grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, Amanda, Angelica, Nicole, Jeanette, and Todd, and their partners. Most treasured of all were the great-grandchildren, Will, Gavin, Noah, Quinn, Reid, Simon, Tessa, Wyatt, Cassius, Evelynne, and Olivier.
Mary was born in Lucknow, Ontario, and spent most of her life in Listowel, with stops in Peterborough, Hanover, Walkerton, and Palmerston. Wherever Mary went, she made friends easily with her gracious manner.
A private family service was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, October 23, 2023 with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
Mary’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, and the Palmerston Hospital for their kindness and professionalism during Mary’s final days.
