Peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, January 9th, 2026, Marjorie Cook of Wingham passed away at the age of 88.
Cherished mother of Leesa & Allan Kerr of Wroxeter. Loving grandma of Brandon & Shelley Kerr, Justin Kerr, Travis & Bev Kerr and Matthew & Samantha Kerr and adored great-grandma of Adelyn, James, Deklan, Jevyn, Rory, Bishop, Ellis, Peyton and Nolyn. Marjorie will be deeply missed by her beloved friend Verna Steffler and her family, whose bond with Marjorie was that of sisters.
Predeceased by her parents Harvey & Dorothy (Flynn) Cook and brother Robert Cook.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Reception will follow at the Wingham Columbus Centre.
Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Zion Cemetery, Chatsworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham Horticultural Society (cheques only), St. Paul’s Trinity Anglican Church or the North Huron Food Share would be appreciated.
