Marion (Haddow) Wenzel of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Wenzel.
Dear mother of Gord & Val Wenzel of Waterloo, and grandmother of Quinn & Carson.
Marion was born on January 28, 1936 in Wallace Township, the only child of T. Howard & Hilda (Siddall) Haddow. She married Gordon Wenzel on July 1, 1961, and they moved into her family home where they resided until her move to Caressant Care, Listowel.
Marion was always active, and loved to dance, draw, skate, and go camping. She was feisty and had a great sense of humour. She loved all animals. Marion taught her son Gord to drive a motorcycle, enjoyed watching him at Motorcross, and then would happily ride while Gord drove his motorcycle.
A funeral service was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. The service was livestreamed, and the link is available on the funeral home website.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
