October 3, 1935 – October 15, 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Denstedt at the age of 89.
Daughter of the late Charlotte and Dr. George Sharpe, Marion was predeceased by her husband Lyle, the love of her life with whom she shared a remarkable journey filled with happiness and cherished family moments.
Marion is survived by her devoted children: John (Carolyn), Janis (Daniel), Paul (Barbara) and Steve (Jacqui) and her adoring “grand” children: Emily, William, Samuel, Ellen, Julie, Mary, Thomas, James, Sara and Lauren and their partners. Marion is also survived by her siblings, Jack and Marilyn.
Marion enriched her life through her career as a registered nurse at Peel Memorial Hospital where she worked in the obstetrics department for many years.
Marion enjoyed every moment she and Lyle spent at the family cottage at Chesley Lake. The “Shady Rest” will always be remembered as a place of love, fun and joy for the entire family. Marion enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with her famous gingerbread cookies among other treats. Marion and Lyle created a home of love and support, dedicated to each other and their family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph for their compassion and professionalism.
Details of the Celebration of Marion’s Life will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Orangeville Alzheimer’s Society.
