Marion Donna Kain (nee Brown)

Peacefully, at the Southampton Care Centre on Sunday, August 13, 2023 in her 95th year.

Donna, predeceased by her loving husband Glenn, and son Jerry and is survived by her son John (Lisa), and James (Saylor). Proud Grandma of Candice, Dylan, Jakob, Jared (Aleena), Garrett, and Graeme.

Donna’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. A resilient and independent woman, she effortlessly balanced her strength with a genuine dedication to others. While she enjoyed watching and playing many sports, it was her passion for curling that truly ignited her spirit. Before devoting herself to her family, Donna had a long career with CIBC and many adventures driving across Canada. In her retirement, she channeled her energy into community involvement, becoming a steadfast volunteer for various organizations including Tolmie Memorial Presbyterian Church, Branch 340 Royal Canadian Legion and Meals On Wheels. She had an infectious sense of humour and was a patient listener who could provide gentle guidance in any situation.  Her compassion will forever be cherished and deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

Interment of cremated remains was held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the Walkerton Cemetery. Following the interment, friends were received at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin from 12:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 1:00pm.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
