Margaret Rose Girdler of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, in her 85th year.
Beloved mother of Lori (Joe) Demaiter of London, Wade (Marilyn), Scott (Carrie), and Andy (Tammi), all of Walkerton. Cherished grandmother of Austin (Sarah), Alicia (Jon), Matthew, Sara (Mark), Ashley (Marcus), Melissa (Dylan), Laura (Isaac), Zachary (Danielle), Jacob, Ryan (Hannah), Adam, and great grandmother of 9. Margaret will be missed by her sisters Audrey Pask of North Bay, Georgina Barnard of Owen Sound, Linda (Ken) Bauman of Burlington, brother-in-law Bert West of Guelph, sister-in-law of Shirley Kirkland of Walkerton, Ruth King and Sandra Cox, both of Owen Sound, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Larry, sisters Laurene (Norm) Boyd, Wilda (Ralph) Warkentin, and Marlie West, brothers-in-law Don Pask, Jack Howard, Les Barnard, Ross King, Glen Kirkland, Harold Cox, Gordon (Shirley) Girdler, stepmother Jenny Vance, parents William and Violet Vance (nee Campbell)
A celebration of life for Margaret was held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton.
Private family interment was in the Walkerton Cemetery.
