Lona Muriel Schill (née Green) formerly of Teeswater, passed away at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Schill.
Dear mother of Marian Ward of Wingham, Phyllis Bester (Bill) of Cargill, Linda Coates of London, Joan Schill (Larry Martinson) of Sundre, Alberta, Kate Montgomery (Stuart) of Wingham, Betty Guptill of Listowel, Matthew Schill (Pam) of Wingham and Edward Schill (Kerri Flynn) of Wingham.
Missed by 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by her brother Don Green (Mary Lou) of Goderich, members of the Schill family and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her companion Henry Lane, parents Joseph and Annie (née Bannerman) Green, infant sister Catherine, son Donald Schill, son-in-law George Coates and daughter-in-law Sue-Ellen Everett.
Visitation took place at Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Thursday, May 22nd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the Wingham Hospital Foundation appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
