Lois Laraine (Livock) Davitt of Listowel, and formerly of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 29, 2023, with her husband at her side.
Wife of Bruce. Mother of Tim, Julie (Mike), and Jennifer (Trevor), and stepmother of Tom, Katie (Nick), and Betsy. Grandmother of Justin, Samantha, Jacob, and Connor; step grandmother of Tristan, Emma, Abony, Julia, and Dillon, and step great-grandmother of Ryland. Sister of Glen (Lou) and Darlene (Greg).
Lois was raised in Elmira and spent most of her life in Waterloo. She retired from Zellers (formerly Towers) where she built lifelong friendships. Lois spent her retirement years as a crossing guard for the City of Listowel. Lois was an amazing lady and everyone was drawn to her. She was patient, kind and a great listener to her close relations. Lois will always be remembered for her strong love for her grandchildren, close relationship with her sister, as well as her strong friendship with her children. Bruce was the love of her life and supported her dearly until the end.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Elmira on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Memorial donations to Parkinson Society would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
