Ken was born on May 19, 1930 in Howick Township, where he was raised, farmed, and was blessed to share his love of farming with his sons and grandsons. He was a grader-operator for over 20 years for Howick Township.
Ken loved music and loved to sing – growing up singing with his sisters, as a barbershopper, and always a member of the church choir. On many Sunday afternoons, you could find Dad harmonizing with his smooth bass voice, with Mom while Dennise would play.
Dad was a beacon of honesty, embodying the virtues of hard work and perseverance. His gentle strength inspired all who knew him. His commitment to his family was unwavering, his love boundless. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and honor, imprinting indelible memories in the hearts of those he touched. Dad’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide us.
A special thank you to the entire staff of Royal Terrace, Palmerston, from our first step to our final steps…they were with us and part of the family… and we were a part of theirs. Their care, love and support went above and beyond what could ever be expected or imagined. They will forever hold a place in the hearts of Ken’s family.
