Kazmimiera “Katie” Zambrzycki of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Village Retirement Residence, Hanover, in her 96th year.
Katie will be missed by her God-daughter Theresa (Brian) Seim of Hanover, and their children Elyse (Adam) and Ethan (Vanessa) and Victor’s son Gregory (Rebecca), and nephew Victor (Christina) Zambrzycki of London.
Katie was a quiet soul that loved her gardens and family and friends. She was always ready to lend a hand to the neighbours. I and my children were the recipients of her many culinary skills which included Pierogi, Golumpki, and Paticzki. Her Mocha Torte was a Birthday favourite. She was always ready for a game of cards and enjoyed her visits to the slots. She was a constant presence in our lives and her place will never be filled. Rest easy my dear Siesa.
Predeceased by her husband Walter, sister Ann (Eugene) Krus, brothers Alfred and Stanley (both in infancy), Julian, Joseph, and her parents Bronislaw “Al” and Jadwiga “Tara” of Poland.
Friends and relatives were invited to visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Reception followed.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
