Katherine Elizabeth (Babb) Chamney of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 13, 2023, in her 59th year.
Wife of Mark Chamney. Mother of Ashley Lahey of Listowel, Ryan Lahey & Emily Hallman of Stratford, and Madison & Trent Kitchen of Listowel, and grandmother of Willow, Koby, Khloe, Kauston, Denver, Stevie, Emersyn, Wren, and Drew. Sister of Nancy & Jerry Byrne of Newfoundland, and Bill & Julie Babb of Cambridge, and sister-in-law of Janice & Marc Tremblay of Oakville, and Paul & Tammy Chamney of Haliburton. Loved and remembered also by her stepmother Joan Babb of Newfoundland. Predeceased by her parents Mac Babb and Valerie (Wright) Babb, and by her brother-in-law Steve Chamney.
Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Kathie’s life was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
