Jan ‘John’ Meinema of Hensall, and formerly of Listowel, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in his 83rd year.
Brother of Jake & Anne Meinema of North Battleford, SK, Nell Heim of Guelph, ON, Peter & Jeanette Meinema of Warman, SK, Bob & Debbie Meinema of New Hamburg, ON, Ron Meinema and Darlene Brooks of Innisfail, AB, Paul Meinema & Myra Potter of Saskatoon, SK, and Connie Meinema of New Hamburg, ON and brother-in-law of Linda Meinema of Listowel, ON Teena Meinema of Innisfail, AB, and Val Meinema of Red Deer, AB. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents Jan & Jacoba (Krottje) Meinema, brothers Clarence, Elmer and Henry, sister Greta and brother-in-law Alfred Heim.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Pastor Henry Meinen officiating.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
