John Lukezic

35 years ago, as was the motto of our wedding, “We joined our hearts as one.” And now, with a broken heart, I am saying “Farewell” to my loving and caring husband, John Lukezic, who left us peacefully, after a very short but terminal illness. His life was lived to its fullest for 86 years. He was always on time, with an exceptionally high work ethic and discipline which made him a highly respected employee at Kraus Carpet for more than 45 years, where he was plant manager for 30 years. Although his work was important, he was always ready to help his family both here and in Europe. We built a happy, peaceful life together. We visited more than 30 countries, including our homelands of Slovenia and Hungary. In the Sava Club, we spent many joyful “New Year’s” and other family events. John will stay in many loving memories to Elizabeth (Liz), John, David, Tim and family, Erzsebet and family, and his sisters and brother and all of the relatives and friends in Canada, Slovenia, Hungary and California. Grateful thanks for the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses, and staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital. John’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Inurnment at a later date in Parkview Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations would be appreciated to Listowel Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society, or to Diabetes Canada.
