James Engler ‘Jim’ Kerr of Listowel passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, in his 92nd year.
Husband of the late Jean Anne (Doig) Kerr. Father of John & Diane Kerr of Listowel, Allan & Leesa Kerr of Wroxeter, and Kevan Kerr & Johanna Feldman of Newmarket, and father-in-law of Urairat Kerr of Thailand, and Lynn and Rev. Ernie Naylor of Listowel. Grandfather of Krystal & Brian Allan, Alicia & Blake Nichol, Steven & Maggie Kerr, Darren Kerr, Tyler & Brenna Kerr, Katherine & Cody Newbigging, Andrew Kerr, Brandon & Shelley Kerr, Justin Kerr, Travis & Bev Kerr, Matthew & Samantha Kerr, Jason Kerr, Ty Kerr, and Mackenzie Kerr, and great-grandfather of 23. Brother-in-law of Peter & Mary-Lou Doig of Thunder Bay, Wayne King of Gorrie, Barbara & Bob Hetherington of Bobcaygeon, and Andrew & Rebecca Doig of Stratford.
Predeceased by his sons Murray (2017), and Tom (2021), parents Thomas & Ruth (Engler) Kerr, his parents-in-law Lawson & Margaret (Lawless) Doig, and by his brothers Leslie, John, David, and infant brother Joe.
Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A private family funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 with Rev. Jennifer Hoover officiating.
Spring interment in Molesworth Cemetery.
