Jeannette Irene Rubach passed away peacefully at home in Listowel, Ontario, on June 28, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born on June 14, 1952, in Walkerton, Ontario, and grew up in Hanover. She later made her home in Neustadt, where she farmed and raised her family. For the past ten years, she had lived in London.
Jeannette was the loving mother of Elizabeth, and proud Grandma to Michael, Faith, Zachary (Charlotte), and Jacob. She was also the deeply loved Great-Grandma of Madisyn, Bentley, and Keshava. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Jim, and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
She cherished time with her family, her friends, and her community. She loved to read, play cards, and catch up over visits and phone calls. Conversation was her comfort, and she found joy in the everyday moments shared with those she cared about.
She gave her time generously, volunteering at the Salvation Army in Hanover, helping at the local daycare, and teaching Sunday school. She touched lives in quiet ways.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hanover Legion.
