Jean and Dave established the Fordwich Village Nursing Home, where they strived to make it “A Home Away From Home”. She was an avid horse lover who took pride in breeding and showing her much-loved Arabians. Jean loved flowers and photography, each spring brought multitudes of flower baskets lining the walkways, on every tree stump around the house and pictures adorned the century-old brick house.
Jean & Dave were lifetime members of the Howick Agricultural Society, with over 100 years of service between them.
A Commemoration of Jean’s life was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Thursday, June 8th with visitation, and the Celebration of Her Life was held Friday, June 9th. The service was live streamed, and the link available on the funeral home website. Interment in Fordwich Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Howick Agricultural Society or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences at www.hardyleefuneralhome.ca
