James Stuart “Jamie” Sanderson of Goderich and formerly of Wroxeter, passed away at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, in his 86th year.
Beloved brother of David (Margaret) Sanderson and Brian (Donna) Sanderson.
Fondly remembered by 8 nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-niece.
Jamie was the oldest son of the late James and Marguerite (née Bolger) Sanderson. He was born on the family farm at Wroxeter. He had a long career with the Canada Life Insurance Company in Toronto and Vancouver. Upon retirement Jamie returned to his beloved Wroxeter, where he lived until six years ago, moving to Harbour Hills Retirement Home in Goderich.
“Uncle Jamie” to all the family, was beloved by everyone. He was always involved in the extended family. He will be sadly missed by us all, as well as his many friends.
At Jamie’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A private family Celebration of Life will he held at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
