James Franklin ‘Jim’ Cleland of Listowel passed away peacefully with family at his side at AgeCare, London, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in his 79th year.
Dearly missed by his children Trevor Cleland of Vineland, Adam Cleland of Victoria, B.C., and Lauren McTaggart & Chris Williams of London, and by their mother Dawn Cleland of Lurgan Beach. Beloved Papa of Olivia and Isaac McTaggart. Brother of Maureen & Stu Hayward of Owen Sound, Joan Norman of Kitchener, and Shirley Nind of Listowel, and loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Franklin & Ida (Halpenny) Cleland and by his brother-in-law Derek Nind.
Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James Clark officiating. The service will be live-streamed and the link available on the funeral home website. Reception to follow at the Elma Memorial Community Centre.
Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
