James Douglas Whytock, a resident of Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham and formerly of Teeswater and Culross Township, passed away with family at his side, on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at age 86.
Beloved husband of Joan Whytock (née Lamont).
Lovingly remembered by his children, Ken Whytock (Suzanne Craig-Whytock), Karen Whytock (Rick Jones), and Bruce Whytock (Carla D’Alessio).
Special Poppa to Kate Whytock, Celeste Whytock, Sara Valvasori, Rachel Valvasori, and Mya Valvasori.
Survived by his sisters Myrtle Reid and Muriel Everitt (Clair).
Also survived by in-laws, Lloyd Lamont, Everett Lamont (Lenora), Francis Lamont, Larry Lamont (Carol) and Bryan Lamont (Norine), several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.
Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Hilaria (née Zettel) Whytock, brother Rae, son-in-law Lonzo Lucas, and in-laws John Reid, Shirley Lamont, Ron and Anne Lamont, and Brenda Lamont.
Visitation was held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Monday, July 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service to honour Jim’s life was conducted from Teeswater United Church on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Bonnie Mair officiating.
Interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
