Hazel Jean (Hamilton) Pettit of Listowel passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, at Caressant Care on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in her 92nd year.
Wife of the late William John ‘Jack’ Pettit (1998).
Loving mother of Robert Pettit & Pat Walther of Gorrie, David Pettit & Julia Charron of Hesson, and Michael Pettit of Stratford. Grandmother of Ryan Pettit & Jody Leitch, Krista Pettit & Steve Corack, Tim Pettit, Sarah & Jeff Rooyakkers, Lisa Pettit, Natasha Walther & Brendan Palermo, Jessica & Jake Miller, and Troy Walther, and great-grandmother of Savannah, William, MacKenzie, and Alexis.
Sister of Allen Hamilton & Grace Bender, Marion & Keith Bristowe, and Larry and Eilleen Hamilton, all of Listowel, and sister-in-law of Doreen Hamilton of Walkerton, and Karen Hamilton, and Marsha Hamilton, both of Listowel.
Predeceased by her parents Walter & Stella (Cosens) Hamilton, sisters Marjorie Bradley and husband Gerry, Isabelle Chamney and husband Donald, and brothers Orland, Howard, Harold, and Ivan Hamilton and wife Marilyn.
Interment and committal services were held at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. The funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Clark officiating. Reception followed at Parkview Gardens (Listowel Legion).
