Harry George Winkel of Gowanstown passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in his 80th year.
Husband of Dianne (Maxwell) Winkel for almost 57 years.
Father of David Winkel of New Hamburg, and Mike & Kristi Winkel of Invermere, B.C., and grandfather of Bella & Mia.
Brother of Bob & Leny Winkel of Victoria, B.C., Hannie & Marvin Scott of Lucknow, Wilma & Stan Wigg of Kitchener, and Joe & Janice Winkel of Fordwich, and brother-in-law of Jack Denney of Paisley, June & Jerry Larmand of Midland, and Sheila Tutton & Mike of Elmira.
Predeceased by his parents Goosen & Hermina (Keuper) Winkel, and by his sister Trix Denney.
Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow. Interment is in Fordwich Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, or Zion United Church would be appreciated.
