At Victoria Hospital in London on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, Harold Metcalfe of Wingham passed away at the age of 80.
Partner of Nancy Good. Father of the late Keith Metcalfe and Kim DaRosa. Grandpa of Stephen Davis and Gregory Metcalfe. Brother of Anna Mae Congram, Linda Stroeder & Dean Aitchison, Dave & Tilly Metcalfe, Bill Metcalfe, Joanne Gallaway and Trish Casserly. Brother-in-law of Debbie Metcalfe, Bob Leachman, Evelyn & Allan Marquette, Sharon Baker, and Stan “JR” & Barb Schank. Harold will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his first wife Doris (Schank) Metcalfe, granddaughter Shannon Davis, parents Herman & Eleanor Metcalfe, brothers Bob and Ivan Metcalfe, sister Evelyn Leachman, brother-in-law Goldie Gallaway, sister-in-law Helen Lee and parents-in-law Stan & Margaret Schank.
A private family funeral service was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham of Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. The service was livestreamed, and the link available on here shortly.
Interment took place at Wingham Cemetery.
A public celebration of Harold’s life followed at the Wingham Sportsmen’s Club from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
