Gisele Ireland (née Manjin) of Teeswater, passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 80, on Friday, March 6th, 2026, lovingly surrounded by Brian and her four children.
Cherished Wife and best friend of Brian Ireland.
Devoted Mother and Mother-in-law of Denise and Carl Kennedy, Diane Ireland and Steve Kelly, Doug and Tracy Ireland and Debbie and John Sutton.
Proud Grandma of Benjamin and Jessica Kennedy, Caleb and Sarah Kennedy, Lukas and Bailey Kennedy, Annalise Kennedy, Leah Kennedy, Enya Ireland Kelly and Tegwyn Kelly, Matthew Ireland (Nicole), Jacob Ireland, Samuel Ireland (Alannah), Timothy Ireland (Emma), and Daniel Sutton.
Adored Great-Grandma of Beau and Jett, Amelia and Adeline, Carter, Shaelyn and Theodore Kennedy.
Dear sister of Joe and Heidi Manjin, René Sherwood, Michael and Nancy Manjin and Ron Manjin.
Fondly remembered by in-laws, Bob and Phyllis Ireland, Barry and Carolyn Ireland, Wendy and Allan Lamont, Bill and Janet Ireland, Bevin “Charlie” and Betty Ireland, Brent “Ben” and Carol Ireland, Wanda and Rob Pellett and Melody and Rob Soers, along with numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours, community members and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Joe and Elfriede Manjin, father and mother-in-law, David and Ina Ireland and great-grandson Emmett Kennedy.
Gisele was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, farmer, published author, public speaker, columnist, crafter, gardener, cook, and the list goes on and on. Known to never be afraid to try something new or back down from a challenge, without hesitation, win or lose. She had a unique ability to complete a twenty-minute task in half the time, a quality she never gave up on.
Married for 60 years, Brian was the love of her life. He was usually happy to indulge in Gisele’s various projects and passions, whether it be driving miles to find a certain plant or tree or scouring the country-side for the perfect piece for her garden. The love they created is a legacy that will continue on for many years. Her family meant everything to her, and she was fully involved in all of their lives.
Gisele was admired for her extensive perennial gardens and gave many tours throughout their farm. Every aspect of her life was filled with colour and love.
Everyone that knew Gisele enjoyed her sense of humour, cooking and her generosity towards those in her community and beyond. There was always an extra spot at the table for whomever needed it.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Friday, March 13th from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The memorial service to honour Gisele’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Teeswater on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Larry Skinner officiating.
Reception and fellowship to follow at the Belmore Community Centre.
Final resting place Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the VON or Canadian Foodgrains Bank would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
