George Albert Nickel of Walkerton passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, in his 101st year. Beloved father of Ron (Frankie) of Walkerton, Doug (Diane) of Mildmay, and Doreen (Bob) Rybchynski of Blackie, Alberta. Proud grandpa of Adam (Ashley), Brett, Charles (Laura), William (Janice), Mike, Lesley (Mike), Katie (Zenon), and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife Beth (nee Twamley), second wife Hazel Caslick, siblings Carl (Margaret), Elleta (Stuart) Aitken, Margaret (Bob) Ferguson, Ruth (Russell) Sewers, Ada (Doug) Aitchison, sister-in-law Anne (Manley) Wallace, and parents Adam and Elizabeth (nee Willis) Nickel.
Friends and relatives were invited for casual visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Cameron’s in Walkerton.
A private family graveside service will be held in the spring at MacIntosh Cemetery.
