Gary Lloyd Cain of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in his 79th year.
Husband of Bonnie (Elliott) Cain for 55 years.
Father of Steven Cain & Pauline of Cambridge, and Colin & Kimberley Cain of Elora. Grandfather of Mackenzie & Mervin, Sydney, Rylan, Emily, and Zachary, and great-grandfather of Eli.
Brother-in-law of Sharon Sothern of Palmerston, Brian and Jane Elliott of Waterloo, Ron and Elaine Elliott of Palmerston, and Rick and Kelly Elliott of Pike Lake.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law Gary Sothern.
Gary was born in Listowel on April 21, 1946, the only child of Robert and Doris (Walker) Cain. He and Bonnie were married on July 18, 1969. He was the rock of his family. Gary worked at Home Hardware in St. Jacobs for over 35 years. He loved his community, where he was a long-term member of the Listowel Rifle & Revolver Club (for 55 years), Comanchero Car Club, and Listowel Legion. He loved his old cars and the Toronto Blue Jays, but mostly importantly, he loved and supported his family. He will be sadly missed by them.
Private family services with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, have been entrusted to the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
