Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at his residence in Milverton, Ontario. Franklin was born in Listowel, Ontario 56 years ago, a son of the late George and Arlene (Posthumus) Hiemstra.
Franklin will be missed by brothers Michael Hiemstra and wife Tammy-Jo, and Christopher Hiemstra. Cherished uncle of Sam, Sidney and Sebastian.
Franklin was employed by Shooters Choice Gun Room in Waterloo. He was an expert Firearms Appraiser and Purchaser. He was a passionate gun collector. He loved collecting antique guns and knives. He was a chainmailer, making homemade armor. Franklin was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
