Eva Farrish

Eva Isobel (Sproule) Farrish of Listowel passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 3, 2025, in her 96th year.

Wife of the late Robert Gordon Farrish whom she married in 1947.

Mother of Connie & Murray Fischer of Campbellford, Nancy & Ernie Axani of Mansfield, Debbie & Tom Gibson of Listowel, Barbara & Larry Cowan of Mount Forest, Robert & Susan Farrish of Listowel, and Lorrie & Keith Reibeling of Milverton.

Proud grandma to 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Sister of Margaret Johnson of Milverton.

Predeceased by her sister Della McLaren and brother Harry Sproule.

Eva grew up in Listowel and worked at Bell as an operator when she met her Bobby at a dance at Parkview Gardens.  She was a true matriarch to our large family.  She was loving and kind, and she raised her children to be the same.  She was an incredible seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, and made many quilts.  She enjoyed many years of good friends, and great travel, and she loved life.

A private family service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a public Celebration of Eva’s Life at Parkview Gardens (Listowel Legion) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Spring interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation of Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
