Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Helen (Wilhelm) Morse of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in her 87th year.
Loving mother of Nancy & Alan Orth of Listowel, Bev & Barb Morse of Atwood, and Cathy & Gerard Coombs, and Cheryl & Barry Koch, all of Listowel.
Proud grandmother of Crystal, Nicole & Lui, Katie & Scott, Steven & Alyssa, Michael & Sylvia, Jessica & Brodie, and David & Amy and Brianna.
Dearest great-grandmother of 10; Alyssa, Sofia, Kory, Owen, Asher, Saige, Jayden, Ella, Carter and Caleb.
Sister of Helen Shore of Oakville, John Wilhelm of Belmore, and Jean & Gary Kritz of Kitchener, and sister-in-law of Charlene Morse of Listowel.
Betty will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as by her dear friend Bev Hiltz.
Predeceased by son David (1982), parents Wilfred & Agnes (Anstett) Wilhelm, sister-in-law Diane Wilhelm, brothers-in-law Ronald Shore & Larry Morse, nephew Jason Morse, and by her niece Janice Wilhelm.
A Celebration of Betty’s life and love was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., and reception followed in the church hall. Family interment was held in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital, Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, or North Perth Community Hospice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
Betty’s family wish to thank Dr. Gillian Edmunds for her compassionate care of our Mom and the North Perth Family Health Team for their guidance at the beginning of Mom’s illness. A BIG thank you to the wonderful nursing staff on 1st floor who made Mom’s stay at LMH comfortable.
