Eleanor Mary (Morse) Hutton of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of the late Floyd Hutton (2013). Mother of Shirley Hutton & Bill Schlegel of Listowel, Murray & Audrey Hutton of Staffa, and Gary & Diane Hutton of Claresholm, AB. Grandmother of Michael & Jessica Hutton of Geneva, NY, Joanne Hutton & Mike Morris of Guelph, Eric Hutton of Clevedon, NZ, Laura & Cody Ecklund of Seven Persons, AB, and Jaclyn & Kevin Horenberg of Granton. Loving G.G. to Sadie, Rhett, Landon, Claire, and Colton. Survived by sisters-in-law Joyce Felker of Elmira, Marlene Hutton of Woodham, Ruth Gravel of Palmerston, and brother-in-law Murray Bray of Listowel.
Predeceased by brothers Lorne and Gord Morse, sister Ethel Hudson, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edna Morse, Marian Morse, Charlie Hudson, Bill Hutton, Thelma Hutton, Albert Hutton, Mona Hutton, Sam Hutton, Percy Felker, Gladys Bray, and Dave Hutton.
Eleanor’s roots were firmly planted on the 3rd of Wallace where she and Floyd lived for 50 years before retiring to Maitland Terrace. She worked at Caressant Care for many years, and still enjoyed visiting after retiring. One of her favourite pastimes was spending time with her granddaughters, who she shared a very special bond with. She loved going to the Legion dances and was a proud member of the Britton WMS. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Visitation was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or North Perth Hospice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
