If you are reading this obituary then you will know that I am now breathing easy and singing in God’s heavenly choir.
I was born on April 26, 1936 in the Brubacher House on Columbia Street in Waterloo, Ontario. I was raised in the Doon area of Kitchener where I resided until my wife of 65 years, Grace (Feick), and I headed north, in 1966, to farm just outside of Chesley in Bruce County. After 44 years of mixed farming, we sold the farm and headed back to Doon for a few years and then to our current location of Britton, Ontario. In 1963 we welcomed our daughter Linda into our family and in 1987 her husband Steve.
In my life I enjoyed farming, being part of a few Mennonite congregations, expressing my love of music by singing with the Grey Bruce singers and the Paisley Concert Choir, driving school bus and Old Order Mennonites, my MM tractors, reading and always having a dog close by. But my favorite thing to do was spending time with family.
I am lovingly remembered by my wife Grace Snider, daughter Linda Weber and husband Steve, my grandchildren and great-grandchildren Kaleb & Angela, Ruth & Adam, Finnley, Elliott and Keller, my brother Murray Snider and a sister-in-law Elizabeth. I am also dearly remembered by Alisha, Jason, Aiden, Colin and many nieces and nephews.
I was predeceased by my parents Roy & Saloma (Shantz) Snider, brother Don, sister-in-laws Ruth, Shirley, Mary Anne, Onolee, Doris, Aileen, June and Beatrice and brother-in-laws Morgan, Edward and Jim.
