Earl Hawthorne, born December 19, 1934, passed away peacefully at the Southampton Care Centre on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by wife Marjorie Elizabeth Hawthorne (nee Horne) after 40 years of marriage. Devoted partner to Doreen Nuhn for over 20 years following.
Father to Gary Hawthorne, Laurie (Bruce) Laur and Douglas Hawthorne. Dear grandfather of Coval, Hayley & Falon. Earl will also be remembered by Doreen’s children Brian (Judy), Dennis (Laurie), Bill (Yumi), the late Cheryl (Dave) and their families.
Predeceased by parents Mary Elizabeth ‘Bessie’ (nee Holmes) and Gordon Clayton Hawthorne.
A Funeral Service for Earl Hawthorne was held in the chapel of the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:30 p.m.
A graveside service took place on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Care Centre Residents Council or to the Listowel Memorial Hospital.
