Douglas Wilfred Wick, age 77, of Stratford and formerly of Listowel, Trowbridge and Rostock, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2025. Born in Listowel, son of the late Wilfred and Florence (Huntsberger) Wick.
Doug is survived by his wife Janice (Raycraft). Father of Mike Wick. Step father of Kathy (Andy), Kerri-Lynn (Andy), John Coxon. Grandfather of Katelyn, Alex, Krista, Jaxson, Robbie and Sam. Brother to Shirley Noble. Brother-in-law of Doris Raycraft, Dick (Joan), Bruce (Joyce), Rosemary Neuman (Gary), Ron (Mag), Marlene Wagler (Elwood).
Predeceased by brother Dennis Wick, Brothers-in-law and George and Harold Raycraft.
Doug worked at Malcolm’s Furniture Factory and later Uniroyal Chemical for 34 years until his retirement.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Doug’s life in the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, May 24, from 2-4 p.m. Cremation with interment at Elma Centre Cemetery. Memorial donations in Doug’s memory may be made to Jumpstart Canadian Tire or Rotary Hospice Stratford.
