With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Don Campbell on December 24, 2022, in his 92nd year. Born in Ashfield Township to Olive & Floyd Campbell, Don was the second of 10 children.
Don will be missed for his quick wit, his gentle demeanour and his love of family. Don was an accomplished carpenter and had a long career with Ontario Hydro. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with his friends and family over the years. Blessed with an inquiring mind Don was often found reading or working on puzzles. As a younger man he enjoyed being outdoors fishing, gardening or skiing; in his later years he enjoyed a game of cribbage and good conversation.
Don is survived by his wife Susan, brothers Allan, John and Gord, sons Scott (Vicki) and Brent, daughter Lisa (Glenn), godson Ian Graham, as well as step-sons Bill (Shannon), Steve (Cathy) & Dave (Deb), and step-daughter Karen (Denis). Beloved Grandfather to Jaime, Derek, Pam, Kelly, Alex, Adam (d), Isaac, Logan, Connor, Emma, Natalie, Mike, Shelby, Jake, Sammy, Alex, Liam, Lauren, Dorian & Jenna. Great Grandfather and beloved uncle to many more.
Predeceased by his parents, his first wife Marjorie (Elliott), sons Brad (Shaunna) and Rob, grandson Adam, as well as his beloved sisters and brothers Gladys, Ivy, Ron, Lorne, Bruce and Marilyn.
The depths of sorrow we cannot tell
Of the loss of one we loved so well
