Dolores Borho

It is with great sadness that the family of Dolores Borho (nee Lane) announce her passing on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Rockwood Terrace, Durham, in her 93rd year. Dolores was predeceased by her loving husband Michael Borho in 1984. Beloved mother of Sandra and Jack Fischer of Formosa, Terry and Marlene Borho of Hanover, Rick and Marlene Borho of Kitchener, Doug and Rosemary Borho of Formosa, Laurie Borho of Walkerton, and Mark and Arlene Borho of Formosa. She was a cherished grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of 23. Dolores will be missed by her sister-in-law Betty Borho of Barrie.

Predeceased by her grandson John Jr. in 1976, brother Leonard, parents Frank and Antoinette (nee Schwartz) Lane, in-laws Johanna Mitchell, Kay and Leonard Borho, Antionette and Walter Gutscher, Beatrice and Jack Borho, Eileen and Alfred Borho, Louise and Norman Albrecht, William and Marie Wilhelm, Florence and Cyril Borho, Irene and John Herringer, Gerald (Beamer) Borho, and parents-in-law Joseph and Catherine Borho.

Dolores was secretary at Immaculate Conception School, Formosa, for 24 years. She was an active member of the Formosa CWL for over 70 years, and very committed to her faith. She was also a member of the Formosa Lioness.

She enjoyed family gatherings at her home where a delicious meal was always shared, and a good solo game. Dolores will be sadly missed by all.

Our family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the staff at Rockwood Terrace Nursing Home in Durham for the wonderful care and support both Mom and our family received during her stay there.

Friends and relatives were invited to visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church, Formosa. Fr. Emmanuel Azike officiated. Reception followed at the Formosa Community Centre.
