Doet Beets of Listowel, peacefully, at Braemar Retirement Home, Wingham, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in his 96th year.
Husband of the late Louwerina Catherina ‘Wies’ (Honcoop) Beets. Father of Marianne Gollan of Lucknow, Annie & Martin Fenech of Simcoe, Elly Meyers of Alliston, Aldert Beets of Stettler, Alberta, Larry & Tannis Beets of Kenya, Jim Beets of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and Irene Beets of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Aldert & Antje (Nieuwkoop) Beets, his son-in-law Paul Meyers, and daughter-in-law Inez Beets and June Vesso.
Doet & Louwerina emigrated to Canada and were married in 1952. Doet farmed most of his life, and later worked at Starcraft. His retirement years were mainly spent joyfully sharing bible truths as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Memorial services will be held via Zoom on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. The link is available on the funeral home website.
