Diane Ellen Cotter of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Hanover Care Centre in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Bernie Cotter. Cherished mother of Chris Baker (Stephanie Etchells) of Ottawa and Colin (Shannon) Baker of Elmira, and grandmother of Anne and Jarett. She will be remembered by Bernie’s children: Nancy (Greg) Kuhl of Port Elgin, Tim (Melissa) Cotter of St. Thomas, Mike (Kathy) Cotter of Hanover, and Steve Cotter (Heidi Miranda) of Walkerton. Diane will be missed by her siblings Renee Milos of Toronto, Sister Simone (Florence) Batte of London, Bill Batte of Walkerton, Ruthe Tremblay of Font Hill, Yvonne Pearson of London, Wayne Batte of Waterloo, Judy (Bob) McCoubrey of Bradford, Angela Batte Jansen of London, Joseph (Marjorie) Batte of Walkerton, David (Marlene) Batte of Walkerton, Valarie Batte of Hamilton, Steven Batte of Lucknow, sister-in-law Jean Batte of Waterloo, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by siblings Joanne (Jim) Becker, Ken Batte, Marlene (Bob) Christie, Brad Batte, brothers-in-law Frank Milos and Leo Tremblay, and parents Joseph and Anne (nee Doyle) Batte.
Friends and relatives are invited to visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Reception to follow in Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
