Catherine Jane Flachs of Walkerton passed away at home on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in her 76th year.
Jane was the beloved wife of 54 years to Peter and precious mother of Cathy (Bryan) Muegge of Walkerton, Julie (Rinaldo) Stradiotto of Guelph, and Dan (Ashley Oliver) of Barrie.
Jane cherished her grandchildren Kirk, Nick, Ryan, Olivia, Sophia, and Cole. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Peter (Judy) Dales of Toronto, Joanne (Ralph) Tersigni of Guelph, sisters-in-law Brenda (Don Montgomery) Reinhardt of Paisley, Sandra Flacks of Walkerton, brother-in-law Brian Flachs of Walkerton, and many adored nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her siblings, George (Cécile) Dales, Fr. Richard Dales, Michael Dales, parents George and Mary (nee Moir) Dales, brother-in-law Ron Flacks, sisters-in-law Rose Marie (Ken) Becker, Suzanne (Jim) Ryan, and parents-in-law Leo and Madeline Flachs.
Jane will be remembered fondly for her beautiful smile, kind and generous heart, devout faith, and friendly nature. She loved crafting and tending to her colourful flower gardens and was always willing to share her passion with everyone. Jane treasured her time spent with family, friends and neighbours, and all our lives are richer for it.
Friends and relatives were invited to a memorial visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiated.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
