Benjamin Steckly

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Thursday November 27, 2025 at the age of 84.

Survived by his loving wife Irene Steckly, and his children: Will Steckly, Edward Steckly (Rosemary), Juanita Drudge(Jerry), Albert Steckly, Lynn Streicher (Marvin), Leon Steckly (Margaret), Sheila Steckly, Shane Steckly (Sharon), and Sherry Kuepfer (Joseph).

Benjamin was a loving grandfather to Jessica, Janelle, Jerilynn, Jordan, Justus, Sharla, David, Ericka, Josiah, Titus, Sheldon, Austin, Jesse, Marita, Lauralyn, Carol, Ryan, Jaden, Shanna, and Sierra. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, his sister Martha, and his in-laws Nancy, Allan, Beatrice, Valentine (Marlean), and Elsie.

Benjamin is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Rachel (Kuepfer) Steckly, in laws Samuel & Dorothy (Wagler) Steckly, brothers and sisters in law Dorothy (Simon), Ephraim (Ruth), Solomon (Jean), Samuel, Aaron, Mary, Harold (in infancy) and by grandson Benjamin Joel.

Benjamin was an inventor, a tinkerer, a hard worker, and a self taught musician. He built antique engines, he enjoyed his sawmill work, and his family loved to hear him play the violin. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation took place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 2:00-4:00pm, and 6:00-8:00pm.

Service took place at Zion Mennonite Fellowship 44902 Cranbrook Rd, Brussels on Monday December 1, 2025 at 1:00pm. Interment followed. Following the burial friends and family were invited for fellowship at Zion Mennonite.
