Barbara Ann Campbell (Gleeson) of Atwood passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital. On January 12, 2026, at the age of 61, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and deep devotion to her family. Beloved wife of Brian Campbell, Barb will be lovingly remembered by her family. She was a devoted mother to Samantha (Michael) Schell of Listowel, Robert (Tracey) Campbell of Listowel, and Michelle (Anthony) Quipp of Atwood. Cherished grandmother to Keigen and Ryker Schell, Autumn and Logan Campbell, and Cameron Quipp. Barb is also survived by her siblings Joe (Roseanne) Gleeson of Elmira, Pat (Audrey) Gleeson of Elmira, Phil (Debbie) Gleeson of Waterloo, Ed (Jennifer) Gleeson of Fergus, John (Cindy) Gleeson of Moorefield, Larry (Brenda) Gleeson of Drayton, Paul (Deb Beaton) Gleeson of Sundre, Alberta, and Louise (Larry) Ellis of Drayton. She is fondly remembered by her sister‑in‑law, Nancy Gleeson of Fort Langley, B.C., wife of her late brother Gerald Gleeson. She will also be remembered by her in‑laws Colleen Vetor of Waterloo, Brenda (Mike Graham) Campbell of Sedgewick, Alberta, Karen (Wayne) Rea of Cambridge, and Sharon Campbell of Listowel, along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Rita Gleeson, her parents‑in‑law, John and Anna Campbell, her brother Gerald Gleeson, her nephews Joshua Gleeson, Jason Gleeson and her great nephew Ethan Halford.
Barb’s greatest joy was her family, and her grandchildren they brought her endless pride and joy. Barb was known for her strength, her honesty, and her deep loyalty to the people she loved. She had a protective spirit and showed her care through action, always stepping in when someone needed her.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family were invited to attend visitation at Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Sunday, January 18th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1025 Wallace Avenue North, Listowel, on Monday, January 19th, from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to Listowel Memorial Hospital and North Perth Library would be appreciated.
