At Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, June 27th, 2025, Barb (Newman) Tervit of Wingham passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late George Tervit who predeceased her in 2008. Devoted mom of Les & Kate Tervit of Listowel, Ron & Kate Tervit of Wingham and Peg & Keith Cameron of Wingham.
Cherished grandma of Jordan & Stephanie, Josh, Joel and Nathan & Laura Tervit, Christopher and Nic & Heidi Cameron and loving G.G. of Landon, Kinsley, Leighton, Emry and Olivia Tervit and Noah, Sawyer and Connor Cameron.
Sister of Doug Newman and Bill & Fran Newman and sister-in-law of Mary Wallace.
Predeceased by her brothers Don (Betty Mae) Newman and Rick Newman, sisters Betty Jane (John) Gill and Marilyn (Don) McDonald, sisters-in-law Jeanie Newman and Jean (Jack) Deans and brothers-in-law Jack (Jean) Tervit and Don Wallace.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, July 4th from 11:00 a.m until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Reception will follow at the Wingham Legion. A private family interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.
Barb’s funeral will be live-streamed and available on the funeral home website.
