Audrey Tucker

Audrey Doreen (McCracken) Tucker of Listowel, and formerly of Atwood, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of the late George Tucker (October 6, 2022).

Loving mother of Jacqui & Fritz Friedmann of Listowel, and Shelley & Greg Crummer of Elmwood, and mother-in-law of Lee-Ann Tucker of Listowel.

Proud grandma of Matthew & Stacey Schalk of Listowel, Stephanie Schalk & Kyle Boyne of London, Jordan Tucker of Stratford, Brody & Emily Tucker of Listowel, and Melissa, Thomas, and Tyler Crummer, all of Elmwood, and great-grandma of Dakston, Lennon, Maddie, Clara, and Tatum.

Sister-in-law of Lynn & Janet Tucker of Dorchester, and Gary McClement of Listowel.

Predeceased by her son Brian Tucker, and sisters Marion (Joe) Horn, and Jean McClement.

Audrey was born on the farm in Wallace Township, which was later known as the Blue Barn.  Audrey and her sisters were only a few of the rural kids that attended the town school in Listowel.

She loved music.  In her younger years she sang in the school choir and for many weddings.  She also loved the late night sing-alongs with the Atwood Crew, and dancing with dad.

She loved to play Lost Heir with her friends and relatives.  The games with her sisters were a whooping good time.

Audrey will be remembered for her love of family and friends, faith, and her special grandma treats.

We would like to thank the amazing staff at Livingstone Manor for their compassionate loving care over the past two years.

She can now rest in peace.

Visitation was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to Atwood Lions Club or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
