William (Jack) Burns passed away peacefully January 4th, 2022 at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home. Jack was born 84 years ago in Barrie, Ontario. Son of the late John Ewart and Laura Ada (Linn) Burns.
Survived by his childhood sweetheart, best friend and wife of 63 years Gail Burns nee Payne. Beloved father of son David (Jennifer) daughters, Jackie (Paul), and Sharon (Tim). Cherished Grandad to Jenna, Jacob, Kassie, Mackenzie, Josh, Tyler, James, Baylen, Laura and Eric.
Also left to mourn, brother Ross (Elizabeth), sisters-in-law Bernadette Burns, Ginny Carley (Wayne Margison), brothers-in-law Phil Payne (Val) and John Payne (Ali), numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends Ernie and Joan Moynahan.
Predeceased by brothers Harold (Nancy), Ron (Beth) and Larry.
Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. (RSVP is required).
