North Perth’s Alex Brooks had an outstanding baseball season in 2023, and her individual prowess was recognized on Nov. 25 by the Provincial Women’s Softball Association when she received the Carol Cleverly Award as the Most Promising Minor Catcher (U15 Tier 1 Division) in the organization. In addition to batting .455 with one home run, 10 triples, 17 doubles and 44 RBI through her 56 games played, Brooks also defensively picked off 25 per cent of baserunners attempting to steal on her over the course of the season while playing with the Woodstock Nationals.
